Kirk Ashworth's Wingate Home Page

I am in my seventh year at Wingate High School--"The Place You Want To Be."
Located at the historic Shush Bi T'oh (Bear Springs) near Gallup, in northwestern New Mexico,,
Wingate is the largest residential high school operated by the US Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Over 90% of our students are Navajo, but any enrolled tribal members may attend Wingate.
For two and a half years I taught English in the Special Education department;
since January 1999, I have been teaching computer skills classes.
The picture above is an example of the work my students create in class.
Our school is excited about the possibilities of using computer technology as a way to express
Native American cultural traditions, values, and art, and to share it with people all over the world....
